Spanish Student Visa and Student Visa renewal

If you are a non-EU citizen and want to study, live and teach in Madrid or the rest of Spain, you will need a student visa. We have arranged student visas for many non-EU people because they took one of our Road2Spain packages.

If you are from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, you do not need a visa to come to Spain, but you are only supposed to stay in Spain for three months after you arrive. However, you can apply for a one-year Student Visa if ALL the following apply to you:

  • You do not have a European Union passport
  • You want to stay in Spain for more than three months
  • You want to take an EBC Trinity College CertTESOL or CertPT course + a one-year Spanish language programme
  • You want to study in Spain for more than three months.
  • You want to stay in Spain for at least one year.

What are my chances of getting a Spanish student visa?

Students who have a European Union passport do not need a visa to study in Spain. However, other countries with international agreements with the European Union will find it a lot easier to obtain a long term student visa. These countries include the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

However, if you are not a citizen of the countries mentioned above, you can also get a student visa as long as you meet the requirements set by the Spanish Embassy in your country. Therefore, to save you time and hassle, please get in touch with us before applying for one of our courses, and we will inform you of your chances of going ahead with your student visa application.

It is important to note that the letter of invitation required to obtain your student visa will only be issued after the total amount of the course has been paid.
