DAY 6

Day 6 live classes
Unit 5: Unknown language – lesson 3 (Live, 1 hour)
This is a live input session where you are a student learning a foreign language taught by your trainer.
Unit 1: Teaching Skills – Guided observation – lesson 3 (Live, 1 hour)
This is a live input session to observe and comment on a class given by an experienced English teacher.
Unit 4: Materials Assignment -Unit explanation and grading (Live, 1 hour)
Your trainer will give you instructions and guidance for completing the CertTESOL Unit 4: Materials Assignment
Trainer support for the remaining day’s activities (Live, 1 hour)
Your trainer will be available for the hour to provide additional input and take your questions.

This is a live input session where you will start writing lesson plans for teaching practice classes 3 and 4. You will also receive individual feedback (in private) from your previous two teaching practice classes and your progress.

Day 8 live classes

This is a live input session where you are a student learning a foreign language taught by your trainer.
Unit 1: Teaching Skills – Lessons 3 and 4 planning workshop and individual progress feedback (Live, 1 hour)
This is a live input session where you will continue creating lesson plans for teaching practice classes 3 and 4. If students were not given individual feedback (in private) yesterday, feedback is given during this session.
Unit 1: Teaching Skills – Micro Teaching lesson plans 3 and 4 (Live, 2 hours)
You will present a 15-minute class to the group using your prepared lesson plans 3 and 4 and receive feedback from the trainer.

DAY 9

- Unit 1: Teaching skills – Observed Teaching Practice 3 (Live, 1 hour per trainee)
You will receive a ZOOM link for this class which you must open on the scheduled date and time.
You will teach your practice class under the observation of your trainer.
NOTE: you may also be joined by another member of staff who will also observe for quality control purposes.
